Explore the wonderful world of books with the Nevada Public Library!
All you have to do is read one book a month (12 total) from either of this year’s categories and log your progress. There will be 12 ‘main’ categories that you can read during any month that you choose. If you dislike a main category, you can swap it out for a ‘monthly’ category that will be shared out on the first day of each month. These books MUST be read in the month they are announced if you are choosing to swap it with a main category. You are only expected to read a main category book OR a monthly category book each month, but you can choose to read both if you’d like.
Books, audiobooks, and eBooks all count.
The goal is to expand your reading horizons, so a different book must be read for each different category.
You can always play catch-up! If you don't register until November, you can still read 12 books before the end of 2025 and be eligible for a prize.
Anyone that reads 12 books from either the main or monthly categories and logs their progress will win a prize at the end of the year. Avid readers who read more than 12 books will be congratulated but will not receive additional prizes. We encourage you to read as many books as you want during the year, as long as you are still enjoying reading!
THE PRIZE FOR COMPLETION WILL BE ANNOUNCED TOWARDS THE END OF THE YEAR.
The contest begins on January 1, 2025 and ends December 31, 2025.
