To enable online access to your library account through our online catalog, you will need to know your account number. If you do not know this, please call 515-382-2628 or email your name, address, and phone number to npl@nevada.lib.ia.us.

To log in:

  • Click on the ‘Search the Catalog’ flag from any page on our website--including this one!.
  • In the top right corner of the page, enter your card number and your phone number or password.
  • Click  the 'Log In' button

Account information:

Click the 'My Account' button in the top right corner.

Once you have done this, you will see a box with different tabs. You can click on these tabs to view and change your account information and your notification preferences, see what items you have checked out and when they are due, and renew items (unless there are fines on your account, someone else is waiting for that item, the renewal limit has been reached or the item is non-renewable).

Item availability:

Items in the darker blue color are currently available. Items in the lighter blue are not in the library at this time. The number in the 'In' column indicates how many copies are currently in the library.

Placing holds on books:

When browsing the online catalog while logged in, you will also be able to place holds on books and see what items are currently available at the library. 

  • Click on the item to expand it.
  • Click the 'Reserve this item' button.
